What is an enterprise?
An enterprise is a sole proprietorship or partnership registered with SSM under the Registration of Businesses Act 1956. It is quick and inexpensive to set up, but it is not a separate legal entity: the owner, or each partner, is personally liable for the business's debts.
Many owners start this way and move the business into a Sdn Bhd or LLP once it grows, to gain limited liability.
